i'm back!
after 9 days of residential course at home team academy ((:
it wasnt that bad actually.
here's how my life there had been.
the very first day i stepped into the HTA,
i began to have the feeling of utmost regret.
everyone there was a stranger to me.
i wanted to run away from that place.
i wasnt sure about surviving in this place,
without someone i noe,
to give me support and motivation
that i need to pass these days with ease.
when i got to know that i was to be in the echo squad,
my heart sank further.
all of us seemed to have the same
felling as me,
insecure and adsjsjdf.
at the drill shed, we saw these
two cadet inspector instructors,
going round my squad..
damn...
they look quite stern.
"sure die wan le lohs."
these words kept repeating in my mind.
and,
at that very moment,
i was already have been ticked off
by one of them because of my fringe.
tat cii was ma'am janet.
dizzy..,
i fall out later.
another cii came to my rescue.
she was ma'am zakiah.
she look so cool.
later on,
our rc starts.
everything was kinda hectic.
the distribution of blank rank and
corporate bags was disgusting.
lunch too was the same.
we started our ice breaking session.
balls were rolling
and soon,
we found out that we can click quite well with
each other.
during these 9days together,
we had minor arguments as to how things were to be done,
but we too have many sweet memories shared.
the farting businesses strengten our bonds,
the laughter shared during
our meal time too was not spared.
we, the batch mates, sang together during our bathing time,
eat together,
whack red ants together,
and kena scolding by the ciis together too..
no matter how tired we were,
we never failed to motivate
our squadmates.. and our batch mates.
my squad was made the "cheering squad".
everywhere we go,
we cheered.
soon,
the echo-ians became inseparable.
no matter where we go,
we went to gether as one.
ok ok. not when it came to the
point when we wanna go toilet
and wen bin shit so smelly-ly.
lol.
we soon made nick names for each other.
zakiah ma'am as Ah Kiah.
janet ma'am as the chinese janet jackson.
wing kiong was the farting machine and mr. "nice people".
suresh was the singer.
eng siang was the
tough one.felix and julian were twins.
and so on.
soon,
the last night,
the last squad debrief came.
everyone was not realy looking forward to this.
when ma'am ah kiah read the recollection,
tears welled in our eyes.
each and everyone of us shared share the
beautiful moments we had together,
the comradarieship
that we had build during this rc.
the girls cried,
the guys sniffed.
the ma'ams were kinda red,
we comforted each other.
we made a cheer for our ma'ams,
to show them how much we appreciate
their guidance all these days.
this squad debriedf was a very touching moment.
and this was the first time i cried infornt of people,
but it felt ever so comforting
as there were people crying with me.
i dare say that i really treasure the ECHO squad,
more than the squad back in my unit
which i've spent with for 4 years.
we've survived in the obstacles that we faced together,
the high and low points together, as one..
later,
ma'am janetasked me to c her.
my heart lunged down.
did i do anything wrong?
soon, my doubts were cleared.
she was there
to tell me how i've changed for the better,
and how i've made her proud.
and i cried.
too many emotions la.
i can still remember it vividly.
and will never forget that moment.
never.
i hope our friendship will last to eternity.
echo,
i love you...
